I have been serving people in many different capacities over the years. The two areas where I gained the most knowledge in serving people are real estate and nursing. I headed a homefinder magazine, and in doing that, I had to listen to my clients’ needs. My clients were realtors who needed to be represented as leaders in their industry. Working with a designer, I helped develop effective ads that reflected their values, standards, and specialties.

The second area that has helped me develop my skills is nursing. Nursing requires excellent listening skills with ears tuned at 100%! I often had to ask patients a lot of questions in order to find solutions to their concerns. Other times, I listened to them because they just needed somebody to talk with.

Even while working these jobs and raising a family, I found the time for my first love: DIY projects! I also love gardening, remodeling, and crafting. I operated a successful Etsy shop for (list how many years), which I eventually had to shut down so that I could take care of my mom. 

So if you asked me, “Really, Debbie, what do you do?”  My answer? I write blogs and share my knowledge with others. Most importantly, though, is that I want other people (like you!) to know that they can also succeed with blogging and make money, too.
